Meet Barani Sasikaran, Senior Customer Success Manager on our Demand team, based in London. In this edition of Life at Onetag, we chatted with one of our newest team members about what it’s been like to join Onetag and how our benefits have supported her early experiences. 👋 Starting Fresh
1. What drew you to Onetag during your job search?
I’ve been in the programmatic tech space for over a decade but hadn’t previously had the opportunity to work on the supply side. Coming from an agency and ad tech background, I wanted my next step to immerse me in an area where I’d had limited exposure. Equally, company culture and work–life balance played a key role in my decision. I wanted to join an open-minded team that values collaboration, welcomes new ideas, and encourages individual contributions. I was also eager to build long-term relationships with clients from the supply side.
2. How did the benefits offered influence your decision to join?
Offering benefits shows how much a business cares for its employees. It’s not always a given for companies to provide so many benefits, such as private health insurance, mental health support, and parental leave, and to invest in social events for employees. Alongside these benefits, I also find Onetag’s culture and atmosphere very positive. I love working in an environment with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.

3. Since joining, what’s been the most valuable support or perk you’ve taken advantage of — and why?
I really value how much flexibility the company provides. There have been times when I needed to adjust my working hours or make a last-minute holiday request, and it was reassuring to see that Onetag was understanding and accommodating. Of course, during busier periods, flexibility can be more limited, but when things are quieter, I really appreciate not having to give extensive advance notice for PTO.
4. How does what Onetag offers to its people compare to other places you’ve worked?
I used to work in a much larger organization, which meant more hierarchy and stricter processes. In comparison, Onetag’s structure is flat. I can approach or speak to anyone, even if they’re more senior, which helps me get things sorted if my line manager isn’t available. I really appreciate being able to approach colleagues who either help me find a solution or point me in the right direction.
5. In your experience so far, how does Onetag show it genuinely care about its people?
We have a dedicated HR team and platforms where we can express our opinions and get advice. It’s great to be able to speak with someone outside of the organization, like a consultant, therapist, or advisor for a fresh perspective on work-related issues. I also appreciate how Onetag supports employees with families, through insurance coverage and flexibility that make work–life balance easier to achieve.
⚖️ Wellbeing & Support
6. How has Onetag helped you take care of your physical or mental wellbeing?
This job makes it easy for me to stay healthy and maintain balance. For example, we have access to an on-site gym, which is a huge perk. While I personally haven’t experienced any mental health challenges, I know colleagues who’ve benefited from consultations with professionals, which are covered and supported by Onetag. This truly demonstrates the company’s commitment to wellbeing.
Additionally, Onetag recently introduced a new wellbeing benefit through Myndup, offering a range of therapy and coaching options.
7. How do our policies (e.g. leave, remote working, hybrid working) help you maintain balance?
I’m grateful for the hybrid setup, which allows me to go to the gym in the morning when working from home instead of spending that time commuting. As I mentioned, flexibility with PTO requests is also a big perk. My colleagues appreciate being able to work remotely over the summer and around Christmas, helping them plan quality time with their families, many of whom live abroad.

8. What makes Onetag’s employee experience stand out from the crowd?
We’re collaborative, and we have a lot of fun! The atmosphere is great; I feel supported and love working with my team and other colleagues. At Onetag, you can come in knowing you’re not being judged, that you’re accepted, and that you can be yourself. That’s what makes us thrive!
9. What kind of people do you think thrive here?
People who are open-minded, collaborative, and unafraid of change, but who also listen to new ideas. No one sits back and only does what’s in their job description; everyone contributes beyond their role. It gets us out of our comfort zones and helps us focus on overall outcomes, not just individual goals.
10. And finally — how would you sum up your first year at Onetag in a sentence?
It’s been a rollercoaster, but exactly what I expected from Onetag! I’m never bored and always have something new on my plate, whether it’s a challenge, a project, or celebrating wins with the team.
