Life@Onetag: Career Journeys & Growth

Meet Virginia Ciabatti, Customer Success Manager on our supply team, based in Pisa, Italy.  For this first entry to the new Life@Onetag series, we caught up with Virginia to learn more about her career journey. From bold pivots to unexpected lessons, here’s what they shared about growing with Onetag and beyond!

1. Can you tell us a bit about your current role and what you’re responsible for?

I’m currently working at Onetag as a Customer Success Manager on the Supply side. That means the majority of my time is spent taking care of our supply partners. Specifically, I manage a portfolio that includes partners from France, Spain, Germany, the UK, and Italy — some of the key markets in Europe.    My day-to-day involves supporting these partners with their requests, monitoring performance, analyzing data, forecasting trends, and suggesting improvements wherever possible. I’m essentially their go-to person, their main point of contact for anything they need.

2. What first attracted you to Onetag, and how did you know it was the right next step?

What struck me most about Onetag was the atmosphere. I still remember walking into the office for the first time and instantly feeling welcomed and at ease. You immediately sense that Onetag is a modern company with a flexible mindset and a truly collaborative and supportive environment.    At the time, about three years ago, that was exactly what I was looking for.

3. What were you doing before you joined the team?

Before joining Onetag, I was working as a Social Media Manager for a company in the beauty industry. I was managing their social media profiles, website, ad campaigns, photo shoots, and promotional video production. So I was already familiar with many of the metrics and logic that play a role in the programmatic advertising world.

4. How have you grown since joining Onetag — personally or professionally?

I’ve grown tremendously on a professional level. Onetag is where I learned everything I know about programmatic, and today I independently manage nearly 200 supply partners, supporting them effectively in their daily operations and with any challenges that may arise.    On a personal level, I’ve also developed a lot. I’ve come to truly understand the value of teamwork and what it means to be part of a group that shares a common goal and works together with focus and cohesion to achieve it.

5. What’s been your proudest moment at Onetag so far?

My proudest moments aren’t tied to any single event — they happen every time a supply partner expresses genuine appreciation for the support I’ve provided or the suggestions I’ve shared.    Knowing that they recognize the effort, analysis, and dedication behind what I do is incredibly rewarding. I also feel a strong sense of pride when I’m able to help a teammate through a challenge or when my intuition leads to the right solution in a tricky situation. These moments of collaboration and problem-solving are what make my work especially fulfilling.

6. What kind of support have you received when it comes to developing your skills or trying something new?

At Onetag, support is an integral part of the culture. Knowledge-sharing is encouraged across all teams, and there’s a strong sense of collaboration — whether you’re exploring a new topic or tackling a challenge, there’s always someone ready to help.    Team members are generous with their time and expertise, and it’s common to see colleagues walking each other through complex issues or brainstorming together to find the best solution.    This is complemented by access to industry documentation and learning platforms, which provide valuable resources for continuous growth and skill development.

7. If you could give your younger self one piece of career advice, what would it be?

I’d definitely tell myself to invest more time abroad, especially to really master Spanish and French. I did spend six months in the U.S. to improve my English, but in digital roles today, strong skills in other languages are a real asset.    I’d also encourage myself to take every opportunity to explore the world of communication in all its forms — from marketing to storytelling to public speaking — because the ability to express ideas clearly and persuasively is often what sets people apart.    And, most importantly, I’d remind myself that curiosity and the willingness to learn from others are just as valuable as technical skills when building a meaningful and resilient career.

Want to join the team? At Onetag, we believe growth isn’t always linear but it should always be supported. Whether you’re starting out or switching paths, there’s room here for bold moves and discovery — both professional and personal.    💼 Interested in joining our growing team?  📩 Send your CV to hr@onetag.com — we’d love to hear from you.
